About this role:

This position is focused on supporting the procurement function within our organization. The successful candidate will have experience in managing procurement processes, developing relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Bills of Material from Design Department and seeking quotations from vendors.
  • Developing cash flow plans to support projects, including updating plans as needed.
  • Preparing comparative quotations for management review.
  • Issuing purchase orders to vendors with appropriate payment terms and delivery conditions.
  • Coordinating with the accounts team for advance payments and running payments to vendors.
  • Ensuring timely material delivery by regular vendor follow-up.
  • Conducting vendor inspections upon readiness.
  • Following up with vendors and transporters for on-time and condition-specific material deliveries.
  • Tracking invoices from vendors.
  • Entering invoices into SAP system.
  • Providing weekly project financial progress reports to management.
  • Maintaining a database of vendors.
  • Ensuring all work, workers, and movement are properly insured.
  • Supporting Tender/BD team in costing of upcoming projects/Tenders.
  • Collaborating with site project management to minimize communication gaps between procurement and end users for timely material expedition.
  • Managing vendor, architect, and contractor interactions while optimizing resource utilization.
  • Delivering management reports and performance data, and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Upkeeping daily inventory management sheets detailing payments against placed orders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of procurement experience.
  • Familiarity with products, functions, application parts, and manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process and raw materials.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and analytics tools.
