Sourcing Manager

Our organization seeks an accomplished Sourcing Manager to spearhead procurement activities with precision.

The successful candidate will identify reliable suppliers, negotiate cost-effective purchases, and ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and services required for smooth operations. They will also maintain quality and compliance standards while developing alternate sourcing strategies to guarantee uninterrupted supply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Sourcing
    • Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for raw materials, machinery spares, consumables, and services.
    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and payment conditions.
    • Develop strategic sourcing plans to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Purchase Operations
    • Issue purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and approvals.
    • Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production schedule.
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse for replenishment.
  • Cost Optimization
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service.
    • Benchmark prices and identify opportunities for bulk or long-term contracts.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate procurement records (POs, invoices, GRNs, contracts).
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Cross-functional Coordination
    • Collaborate with production, quality, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
    • Resolve material-related issues with suppliers and internal departments.

A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field, along with 2-5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup, is required. Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office is preferred.
