Job Description

As a seasoned Contract Manager, you will oversee the administration of projects, ensuring timely completion and effective management of contractual obligations. Your expertise in contract law, negotiation, and dispute resolution will be essential in maintaining strong client relationships and protecting the company's interests.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing project extensions, delays, and variations, including preparation of submissions and claims computation;
  • Negotiating with clients and consultants to avoid liabilities and recoveries;
  • Resolving contractual issues through meetings and correspondence;
  • Reconciling legacy projects, debt collection, and dispute resolution;
  • Providing inputs to legal counsels for arbitration-related matters and other legal issues;
  • Preparing statements of claims, rejoinders, and oral submissions;
  • Reviewing tender documents to understand contractual risks and mitigate measures;
  • Association agreements: drafting, negotiation, and finalization of MoU's for consortium/joint ventures, nominated subcontractors;
  • Guiding project managers on contractual obligations and protecting the company's interests;

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Acquaintance with Indian Contracts Act, Indian Arbitration & Conciliation Act, FIDIC, etc.;
  • Knowledge of standard forms of contract of oil & gas PSUs;
  • Excellent communication skills, especially for contractual correspondence;
  • Contract reading and interpretation skills;
  • A logical approach and teamwork spirit;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of MSP for analysis of construction schedules;
  • BE/B Tech + PMP/NICMAR/LLB degree;
  • At least 10 years of experience in contract management or related field.
