Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Database expert to lead our database migration initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding the end-to-end migration lifecycle, ensuring seamless transitions across various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive migration strategy, leveraging your expertise in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer environments.
  • Lead a team of professionals in assessing, planning, executing, validating, and optimizing database migrations, ensuring zero/near-zero downtime and high availability/dr disaster recovery.
  • Design and execute Oracle database migrations across diverse setups, including Data Center-to-Data Center, AWS-to-AWS, Azure-to-Azure, Oracle Exadata, and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN.
  • Implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.
  • Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager for database performance monitoring, health checks, proactive alerting, migration tracking, and validation.
  • Document migration runbooks, rollback procedures, and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer implementation and management.
  • Rubrik for backup, restore, and DR integration, RMAN for backup/recovery, delta sync, cloning, and duplication, and OEM for monitoring and migration validation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure, and experience in data purging, retention policies, and compliance for regulated environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-resolution skills, particularly in Exadata/ExaCC environments.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
