Project Leadership Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and oversees the execution of non-technical projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to completion.
  • Manages project initiation activities, including identifying contractual obligations, client or business needs and goals, existing situations, and necessary contacts.
  • Evaluates and ensures that internal project requirements align with operational standards. Develops alternative requirements or documents exceptions as necessary.
  • Develops, defines, and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinates activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments, and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations to meet project goals and ensure timely completion within budget constraints and quality standards.
  • Monitors and manages project risks, issues/problems, and activity progress to guarantee project goals, such as deadline, scope, and quality, are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation when needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Serves as a liaison between internal organizations and in client and vendor/subcontractor organizations to ensure all project targets and requirements are met.
  • Delivers informational and decision-seeking presentations to business groups in FIS and/or in client organizations.
  • Conducts project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance, handover documentation, and ongoing activities to accountable teams. Completes a post-implementation review to identify areas for improvement.
  • May directly oversee employees assigned to manage specific projects with distinct beginnings and ends.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Identifies project management coordination gaps or areas for improvement and recommends and implements solutions.
