**Job Opportunity: Technical Project Manager**

We are seeking an experienced technical project manager to lead our IT projects from initiation through delivery.

  • The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in project management with PMP certification and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • They should be familiar with various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles, including conversions, incremental, rapid delivery, classic or traditional waterfall phases of analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and the correct application of these methods.
  • The candidate should also have experience with financial services industry and knowledge of software industry standards, such as ISO, CMM, Six Sigma.
  • In addition, they should have advanced skills in the use of project management software to manage projects, such as MS Project and auxiliary tools, like earned value database, audit tools, project repository, risk, issues, and action items database, SLIM Estimate, Metrics and Control, PlanView, Platinum Process Continuum.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans and coordinates all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Manages project initiation activities, including identifying contractual obligations, client needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts, and access to existing information as needed.
  • Ensures requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards. Develops alternate requirements or documents exceptions as appropriate.
  • Develops, defines, and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

  • Strong technical project management skills, including experience with IT project methodologies and life cycles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools, such as MS Project and Earned Value Management.
