Academic Leadership Position for Industrial Design

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to oversee the academic department of Product Design (Industrial Design) at our esteemed institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement academic programs for Product design (industrial design) that align with our institution's mission and vision.
  • Supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and stays relevant.
  • Cultivate interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students by collaborating with other departments within the design school and beyond.
  • Oversee student recruitment efforts, working closely with our Career Advancement Services team.
  • Effectively plan resources for discussion and approval.
  • Establish relationships with industry experts to enhance academies engagement through teaching, master classes, conferences/symposiums, and design festivals.
  • Stay up-to-date on UGC, NAAC, and other processes and documentations.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in industrial design.
  • Total 15+ years of experience with minimum of 5 years experience in an academic leadership role within a design school setting.
  • Strong understanding of current trends and developments in the field of industrial design.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with faculty, staff, students, industry professionals, and other stakeholders.
