- Mentor and develop faculty members
- Guide PG/PhD research, projects, and publications
- Oversee teaching, assessments, practical training, internships, timetable, and student performance
- Facilitate collaborations with media houses, news agencies, PR firms, and digital platforms
- Lead departmental documentation, accreditation, and compliance processes
- Support student mentoring, counselling, placements, and overall development
- Manage departmental resources, labs, studios, budgeting, and infrastructure
- Represent the department in inspections, academic council, media committees, and institutional forums
