We are seeking a skilled US Sports News Editor to contribute to our editorial team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of sports content before publication.

  • Actively edit and publish 20-25 articles daily.
  • Proofread articles to guarantee error-free content and verify facts through thorough research.
  • Verify the authenticity of statistical data and eliminate any incorrect claims immediately.
  • Publish high-quality articles on time, prioritizing timely news coverage.
  • Mentor and guide junior writers to enhance their performance and quality of work.
  • Effectively manage the daily workflow of writers in the sports division.

  • You possess a strong command of the English language and are well-versed in American culture.
  • You excel at fact-checking and enhancing editorial quality.
  • You are flexible with working hours, especially during event coverage days.
  • You have natural leadership skills and can effectively manage a team.
  • You have an eye for engaging titles and subheadings, along with basic SEO knowledge.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing.
  • Prior experience as a team leader is a plus.
