As a Sports Content Editor, you will be responsible for editing and publishing high-quality articles that deliver value to our readers. Your deep understanding of our audience will enable you to fine-tune content, enhancing its impact and relevance even after it's been published.

You will work closely with a skilled team of writers, editors, and content managers in our fast-paced newsroom to constantly refine and elevate the content we publish. As a mentor, you will inspire and empower writers, helping them grow and evolve as contributors to the team.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Editing and publishing 20-25 articles each day, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Fact-checking, researching, and ensuring that every article is well-written and engaging.
  • Collaborating with the content quality (CQ) team to refine and elevate the content we publish.
  • Mentoring and guiding writers to help them grow and evolve as contributors to the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/Journalism, or a similar discipline.
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a similar role.
  • Strong command of the English language and an understanding of American culture.
  • Energy and creativity to bring new ideas to our articles.
  • Ability to analyze article performance metrics and use insights to consistently elevate the quality of content.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and guide a team of talented writers.
