We are seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing end-to-end fund accounting services, with a focus on Private Equity and Alternative Investments.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and manual calculation skills. The Fund Accountant will work closely with clients to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Daily and Monthly NAV/GAV Calculation: Ensure accurate and timely calculation of Net Asset Value (NAV) and Gross Asset Value (GAV).
  • Manual PnL and NAV Calculations: Perform manual Profit and Loss (PnL) and NAV calculations to ensure accuracy and reconciliation with Geneva software outputs.
  • Processing and Valuation of Complex Instruments: Process and value Private Equity, Bonds, Forwards, Swaps, and other complex instruments.
  • Cash and Position Reconciliations: Conduct daily cash and position reconciliations with brokers and custodians.
  • Preparing and Reviewing Accounting Entries: Prepare and review accounting entries in Geneva software to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Managing End-to-End Fund Accounting: Oversee end-to-end fund accounting and investment operations for assigned clients.
  • Handling Multi-Currency Portfolio Accounting: Manage multi-currency portfolio accounting, income and expense accruals, and dividend processing.
  • Preparing Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements as per US GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Coordinating with Auditors: Coordinate with auditors and support year-end audit and financial closure.
  • Producing Investor Capital Statements: Produce accurate and timely investor capital statements and IRR calculations.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience working on Geneva software (Advent Geneva preferred).
  • Fund Accounting Principles: Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, with a focus on Private Equity and Alternative Assets.
  • Derivative Instruments: Hands-on experience with Bonds, Swaps, Forwards, and other derivative instruments.
  • GAV/NAV Methodologies: Solid understanding of GAV/NAV methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and manual calculation skills.
  • Accounting Standards: Familiarity with global accounting/reporting standards (US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
