About Demolish Foods:

We're pioneering plant-based meat alternatives to make food systems kinder, healthier and more sustainable. Our Gen4 precision-structuring platform recreates the muscle fibres, connective tissue and fat of whole-cut chicken entirely from plants.

Role Overview:

We are seeking passionate mechanical engineers to tackle the challenges of building a more sustainable food system. Their role will involve creating innovative equipment to advance processing technologies from concept to production scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop novel food equipment from prototyping to production scale.
  • Contribute to product optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce production costs.
  • Develop material characterization equipment and quality control tools to support product development and maintain quality standards
  • Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure the structural integrity and performance of mechanical components
  • Support scaling up bench-top equipment to production scale.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines.

Essential Qualifications:

  • B.Tech / M.Tech / MS in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD), Machine Design, and/or Complex assembly design, and simulation
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA analysis tools.
  • Proficient in GD&T, DFM, DFA, and understanding of manufacturing machines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Python, C++ and/or PLCs is a plus.
  • A collaborative spirit.
