We are seeking a seasoned senior database administrator to manage and administer SQL Server databases in an Azure environment. This role requires expertise in planning, implementing, and overseeing Azure SQL Subscription services, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration: Manage and maintain SQL Server databases (on-premises and Azure SQL) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Azure SQL Subscription Services: Plan, implement, and oversee Azure SQL Subscription services to meet business needs while minimizing costs.
  • Performance Tuning: Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring to improve database efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery: Configure and maintain disaster recovery solutions (Always On, Geo-Replication) to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Security Policies: Implement and monitor security policies, access controls, and compliance standards to protect sensitive data.
  • Database Migration: Plan and execute database migrations from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL to optimize infrastructure and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA with expertise in Azure SQL Server management.
  • Azure Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting database issues, and resolving complex problems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations.
