Data Governance Lead

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that drives the continuous improvement of data governance and data maintenance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, with experience managing teams and large-scale technical projects.

The successful candidate will create and align data standards for master, supplemental, and transactional data objects. They will also drive the adoption of data standards and design principles to bring efficiency to migration processes.

Governance is essential in this role, ensuring data standards and key decisions are properly documented. The Data Governance Lead will build capability within PepsiCo to drive cost-efficient delivery models by reducing delivery work for external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement of data governance and data maintenance processes
  • Create and align data standards for master, supplemental, and transactional data objects
  • Drive adoption of data standards and design principles to bring efficiency to migration processes
  • Governance to ensure data standards and key decisions are properly documented
  • Build capability to drive cost-efficient delivery models

Requirements

  1. Minimum 12 years of related IT work experience, including significant experience managing teams (5+ years) and large-scale technical projects
  2. 10+ years of SAP experience with cross-functional knowledge in data migration for all modules
  3. Minimum 5 plus years of strong development experience in the past
  4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  5. Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements
  6. Solves highly complex problems within their work team
  7. Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences
  8. Adaptability and flexibility, including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change
  9. Data-driven mindset, leveraging a structured analytical approach, and comfortable with manipulating and profiling large volumes of data
  10. Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments
