Strategic Finance Leader

This is a pivotal role for an astute financial professional to drive growth and stability in a fast-paced organization.

The ideal candidate will oversee the finance function with a focus on strategic planning, controllership, investor relations, and operational excellence.

A key member of the leadership team, this person will foster financial discipline, compliance, and business scalability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end/year-end closing and reporting
  • Strengthen internal financial controls, risk management, and regulatory adherence
  • Oversee implementation of robust accounting practices and enterprise resource planning systems
  • Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits

Strategic Planning & Business Development:

  • Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, growth plans, and capital allocation
  • Drive initiatives to improve profitability, unit economics, and return on investment

Operational Efficiency:

  • Oversee daily finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
  • Ensure tax compliance (goods and services tax, tax deducted at source, income tax) and regulatory adherence
  • Review and approve all financial processes, reconciliations, and vendor payments

Fundraising & Investor Relations:

  • Support equity and debt fundraising efforts
  • Build investor confidence through transparent and timely reporting
  • Lead financial due diligence, board reporting, and investor communication

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance and accounting team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in finance controllership and compliance
  • Proven experience in fast-growth organizations, construction, real estate, or technology industries
  • Solid understanding of Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Ind-AS, tax laws, and audit practices
  • Hands-on experience with ERPs, management information systems, and business finance tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
