Home Decor Buyer and Merchandiser

We are seeking a seasoned Home Decor Buyer and Merchandiser to spearhead our home decor category. This role requires a strong business acumen, keen eye for design trends, and hands-on experience in inventory management, product sourcing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute seasonal and category-wise buying plans for furniture, lighting, planters, and tableware.
  • Analyze sales trends, inventory movement, and forecast demand for efficient stock planning.
  • Maintain trackers for vendor management, payments, logistics, returns, and damages.
  • Conduct trend and market research to curate relevant product assortments.
  • Manage vendor development, negotiations, sampling, POs, and timely deliveries.
  • Cordinate with stores and warehouses for stock audits, replenishment, and inventory flow.
  • Collaborate with marketing and ecommerce teams on launches, campaigns, and product uploads.
  • Support design and content teams with updated catalogues and visual assets.
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of experience in Buying and Merchandising, preferably in home decor, furniture, or lifestyle retail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and inventory/merchandising systems (SAP, ERP, Wondersoft, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with B2C, experiential, or lifestyle retail formats preferred.
