Job Title: Payroll Manager
Role Purpose:The incumbent will oversee end-to-end payroll management for India, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee salaries, statutory compliance with Indian labor and tax regulations, and payroll-related reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Validate and reconcile inputs such as attendance, leave records, new joiners, exits, salary revisions, and variable pay.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, PT, TDS, gratuity, and other applicable labor laws.
- Handle employee queries related to salary, taxation, and payroll policies.
- Prepare payroll MIS reports and analytics for management review.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and taxation.
- Support process automation and continuous improvement in payroll systems.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or HR. MBA/PGDM or CMA/ CA required.
- 7-10 years of payroll management experience in India required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems (SAP, ADP etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, reconciliations).
- Knowledge of income tax and statutory compliance.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
