Job Overview

A seasoned HVAC design professional is sought to spearhead the conception, implementation, and upkeep of mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To devise and implement comprehensive mechanical systems, equipment selections, specifications, and processes for diverse projects.
  • To create detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications utilizing computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP).
  • To conduct in-depth calculations and prepare technical specifications, sequence of operations, and project details based on client requirements and existing conditions.
  • To remain updated on relevant codes, including NYC Building Code, International Codes, Mechanical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, and ASHRAE Standards.
  • To review design concepts, calculations, and drawings to ensure precision, code compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • To collaborate with clients, project managers, and vendors to meet project schedules and requirements.
  • To develop cost estimation and Bill of Materials according to design concept.
  • To be self-motivated and driven with excellent communication skills and basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in HVAC design engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience working with building services
  • International project experience, preferably in the US
  • Team handling experience
