Job Title:

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing releases, ensuring seamless deployment of software products. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of release processes and be able to drive process improvements and optimize workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
  2. Work closely with Development, QA, Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure all teams are aligned and prepared for upcoming releases.
  3. Identify, track, and mitigate potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
  4. Ensure all changes are well-documented, communicated, and approved according to established change control processes.
  5. Coordinate deployments in cloud environments (e.g., AWS), ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
  6. Champion continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices; drive automation to improve release reliability and efficiency.
  7. Track release progress and provide regular updates, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
  8. Lead the resolution of issues during release phases to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  9. Maintain and manage the organization's release calendar, ensuring coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
  10. Oversight of merging validated changes into main code branches, coordinating closely with development and QA teams.
  11. Presentation of planned changes in meetings and secure approvals as required.
  12. Organize and conduct readiness assessments before deployment.
  13. Post-release activities include monitoring performance, coordinating hotfixes if needed, and facilitating reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
