Underwriting Enablement Specialist

We're seeking an Underwriting Enablement Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming underwriting expertise into training, playbooks, and quality standards that empower community reviewers to learn retail/home-loan underwriting basics and curate AI model responses with high accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs on underwriting fundamentals, including FOIR/DTI, LTV, income stability, bureau interpretation, documentation hygiene, fraud red flags, and policy exceptions.
  • Train community reviewers to curate AI outputs, reviewing model responses, applying rules, correcting decisions, adding reason codes, and documenting edge cases.
  • Create micro-curricula and SOPs, comprising short modules (30–60 minutes) with examples, quizzes, checklists, and local-language handouts.
  • Design quality rubrics, acceptance criteria, pass/fail checklists, quick-fix macros, escalation rules, and calibration guidelines.
  • Identify data needs from cases, capturing missing rules/thresholds and drafting data-needs specs for synthetic data generation.
Qualifications
  • 4-8 years of experience in retail/home-loan underwriting, with hands-on decisioning and policy interpretation.
  • Proven training or mentorship experience, comfortable teaching beginners and non-technical learners.
  • Strong grasp of calculations and documents, including FOIR/DTI/LTV/EMI, income proofs, bank statements, credit bureau reports.
  • Fluency in English and Telugu.
