Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Information Modelling (BIM) Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality building designs using Revit software.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment. They will also have the ability to interpret technical direction received from engineers and other supervisors, and work independently to develop clear and concise drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of basic layout drawings for civil/structural data or other purposes.
  • Perform tasks that involve conventional engineering practice, including resolving complex design requirements and constructability.
  • Prepare material take-offs and preparation of material lists.
Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will have a diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture, or a Drafting and Design Technology certificate from ITI/CTI. They will also have at least eight years of work experience in a design office of an EPC company, with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of other software like Revit, Microstation, AutoCAD, Tekla, and Navisworks, as well as willingness to accept field assignments on projects anywhere in the world.

Desirable Skills:
  • Proficient in use of Revit software to prepare design and construction drawings.
  • Understanding of engineering planning and control methods, including computerized methods.
  • Experience of preparing general arrangement and reinforcement detail drawings of concrete and steel.
  • Knowledgeable and capable of working in Excel, Word, and other material take-off software.
