Project Director

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and closure of solar EPC projects within agreed scope, budget and timeline while ensuring quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources and risk management to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead execution teams to ensure timely completion in line with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement and construction teams for seamless integration and efficient project delivery.
Key Performance Metrics & Indicators:
  • Project Completion Rate: Ensure timely completion of projects within agreed scope and schedule.
  • Budget Adherence: Monitor and control project costs to maintain financial discipline.
  • Resource Utilization Efficiency: Optimize allocation and usage of manpower, equipment and materials for effective project execution.
  • Quality Compliance Rate: Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed specified quality standards.
  • Health and Safety Record: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing HSE standards on project sites.
  • Client Satisfaction Score: Foster strong client relationships through effective communication, delivery and quality service.
  • Vendor Development: Identify, qualify and onboard reliable vendors to ensure supply chain resilience.
  • Project Documentation Accuracy: Maintain accurate and complete records (contracts, permits, designs, compliance documents) for future reference.
  • Project Execution Target: Align project completion targets with business objectives and revenue realization goals.
Risk & Issue Management:
  • Identify potential project risks early and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Resolve conflicts, bottlenecks and unforeseen challenges to maintain project progress and momentum.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
  • Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication, accountability and collaboration.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, government bodies and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
  • Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, industry codes and company policies to maintain a compliant and responsible project environment.
  • Coordinate inspections, approvals and certifications as per legal requirements to ensure project compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in Solar EPC.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale Solar Ground-mounted projects in the 50–100 MW range, from planning through to successful commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, EPC workflows and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work on international assignments as required.
