Placement Manager Job Description

The Placement Manager is responsible for ensuring that the pre-placement offers are instituted and systemized by increasing the highest package and number of companies visiting the campus. This includes improving the quality of placements in terms of job opportunities, company reputation, and average salaries year on year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing summer and winter internships in companies that are most likely to offer conversion into final placements, as much as possible. Additionally, they will collect job announcement/description - requirements, job details, and specifications from interested organizations and share the same with students in a timely manner.

Corporate Relationship & Coordination:

  • Bring in new corporate clients and manage relationships with existing ones.
  • Correspond with prospective companies to invite them for campus or online interviews.
  • Support placement logistics, such as traveling and accommodation arrangements.
  • Follow up hiring steps to receive placement confirmation, joining date, offer letter, etc.
  • Track all placements using software or systemized methods.
  • Share the database of eligible aspirants with prospective companies based on stipulated criteria.
  • Arrange for interview facilities at the campus (Auditorium, Labs, and Interview rooms).
  • Share industry feedback, trends, and expectations with students and leadership.

Career Guidance:

  • Counsel students regularly to increase job acceptance rates.
  • Advocate for students as needed to ensure their expectations and skills level match available jobs.
  • Guide students for successful results at interviews before the process starts.
  • Participate in student assessments with trainers to evaluate potential placements.
  • Assist students from interview to on-boarding.
