We are seeking a skilled and experienced software engineer to lead our global SAP transformation. This role demands deep technical fluency in ABAP OOP, SAP HANA, UI5/Fiori, CDS modeling, and cloud-native integration, as well as the leadership acumen to drive innovation across a complex enterprise.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior software engineer to take on a leadership role and drive the modernization of our SAP systems. You will be responsible for defining our SAP strategy, leading modernization efforts, and delivering full-stack SAP BTP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Strategy Definition:
- Define SAP strategy across S/4HANA, BTP, and legacy platforms to align with digital goals.
- Modernization Efforts:
- Lead modernization efforts focusing on agility, automation, user experience, and cloud transformation.
- SAP BTP Solutions:
- Deliver full-stack SAP BTP solutions with CAP, RAP, Fiori Elements, Workflow, Business Rules, and API Management.
- ABAP Implementations:
- Oversee object-oriented ABAP implementations, including RAP model, enhancements, BADIs, and unit testing.
- SAP UI5 App Development:
- Lead custom SAP UI5 app development, Fiori Launchpad configuration, and OData v2/v4 service integration.
- HANA-Native Solutions:
- Architect HANA-native solutions using CDS Views, Calculation Views, and performance-optimized models.
- IRPA Bots and AI Core Services:
- Deploy IRPA bots, AI Core services, Document Extraction, and ML-driven workflow enhancements.
- Cloud-Native SAP Environments:
- Design hybrid and cloud-native SAP environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP using DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Real-Time Integrations:
- Drive real-time integrations using SAP Integration Suite, including CPI, Event Mesh, Open Connectors, and API Hub.
- S/4HANA Programs:
- Manage S/4HANA programs, upgrades, harmonization, and lead DevOps adoption with CI/CD standards.
- Compliance and Security:
- Maintain compliance with SOX, GDPR, and other enterprise security requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience. You must also have deep hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and BTP ecosystems, as well as ABAP OOP, RAP/CAP models, CDS Views, HANA-native development, UI5/Fiori, OData, SAP Launchpad services, SAP IRPA, AI Core, Workflow, Business Rules Framework, SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh), DevOps, CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, ATC), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and strong understanding of enterprise architecture, security, and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Prior SAP certifications in S/4HANA, BTP, or Integration, experience in regulated, data-intensive industries (e.g., Banking, Pharma, Manufacturing), and familiarity with SAP ALM, SAP Build, Integration Solutions like Kafka would be advantageous.
