Key Responsibilities of a Brand Portfolio Manager

A brand portfolio manager is responsible for managing multiple brands and overseeing their performance. They work with cross-functional teams to develop brand strategies, manage budgets, and analyze market trends.

Primary Objectives:

  • Drive top-line growth and increase market share for allocated brands
  • Meet bottom-line targets for assigned brands

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement annual operating plans for the brand portfolio
  • Work closely with sales teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in on brand strategies
  • Conduct research to understand customer behavior and preferences
  • Monitor return on investment (ROI) on brand campaigns and make data-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with creative agencies to develop impactful brand campaigns
  • Ensure timely delivery and execution of campaign materials and activities

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or science
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical brand management, preferably in a senior brand manager role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think strategically and drive results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in financial acumen, with ability to manage budgets and analyze market trends
  • Experience with new product launches and managing complex projects
