Our India business is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead our discretionary portfolio management efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equity portfolio management or research and excellent analytical skills.">Job Description

This role plays a key part in our India business strategy, focusing on discretionary portfolio management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing equity portfolios for clients on a discretionary basis, working closely with the Head Portfolio Management (Equities) and Analysts to formulate and implement investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage equity portfolios for clients on a discretionary basis, working closely with the Head Portfolio Management (Equities) and Analysts to formulate and implement investment strategies.
  • Perform daily duties of a portfolio manager, including deployment of investor monies, monitoring portfolios, and executing changes as needed.
  • Issue portfolio management communications internally and externally, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
Client Management
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Team Heads, and Business Heads to drive business development and demand generation.
  • Contribute actively in India Investment Committee meetings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients through calls and meetings.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
  • Regularly monitor portfolios and ensure adherence to regulations and company guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Operations and services for client money deployment, reporting, and other matters.
  • Liaise with Risk Management to ensure risk controls and governance are met.
Requirements
  • 10-15 years' experience in equity portfolio management or research.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian equity markets and individual companies.
  • Adequate experience in equity research and/or portfolio management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office tools.
