Job Summary:

A skilled and experienced System Administrator is required to manage our Linux infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Linux Systems, including Shell/Bash, sed/awk/grep/egrep, VI/VIM/Emacs, netstat, lsof, strace, ps/top/atop/dstat, grub boot config & systems rescue, fstab/disk labels, ext3/ext4, IPtables, sysstat (sar/vmstat/iostat etc), run-levels & startup scripts, sudo/chroot/chkrootkit/rkhunter.

The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and a strong academic background in Information Technology or Computer Science. They will be responsible for participating in 24x7 shifts, monitoring the stability of our products, handling incident response, troubleshooting and fix for various products/services, and ensuring SLA's and Operational standards are met.

Additional responsibilities include working with our infrastructure team to deploy and maintain Linux/Windows servers using automated scripts and a predefined runbook, raising tickets to different internal groups to resolve recurrent problems, alerts and follow up on escalated issues, liaising with engineering teams for RCA's, permanent resolutions on issues affecting production sites, contributing to Operations handbook, and ensuring smooth hand-offs between shifts.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science

Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a System Administrator
