Mainframe System Administration Role

This is a high-profile Mainframe Z/OS system administration role, encompassing the end-to-end lifecycle of our mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Configuration
  • ▸ Design, build, test, and deploy z/OS systems and applications to meet business requirements.
  • ▸ Implement and configure ISV products and other mainframe software to ensure optimal performance.
  • ▸ Develop and maintain IO configuration documents for all hardware components.
  • ▸ Utilize various monitoring tools to analyze and troubleshoot system issues in real-time.
Mainframe Storage Management
  • Administration and Configuration
  • ▸ Oversee the administration and configuration of IBM Mainframe Storage Servers (EMC) and DLm.
  • ▸ Collaborate with teams to create IODF/ IOCDS for new systems, configure storage, establish storage policies, implement and configure through HCD.
  • ▸ Develop expertise in storage-related software and tool installation, configuration, and maintenance rollout.
  • ▸ Handle data migration activities, review DASD clean-up activities, and implement storage management using DFSMS.
  • ▸ Manage Tape Library configurations.

  • Experience: 7-15 years
