Job Overview:

The Systems Integration Specialist plays a vital role in bridging the Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration Strategy:
    • Develop and implement integration strategies to meet organizational needs.
    • Integrate IT systems with OT systems, including industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and PLCs.
    • Ensure seamless communication and functionality between IT and OT environments.
  • Security and Risk Management:
    • Evaluate and address cybersecurity risks associated with IT/OT convergence.
    • Implement robust security protocols to safeguard systems from external threats and unauthorized access.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as IEC 62443 or ISO 27001.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as a liaison between IT teams, OT engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategies and goals.
    • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies with vendors and third-party providers.
    • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and propose innovative solutions.
  • System Implementation:
    • Lead implementation projects that connect IT applications and OT systems seamlessly.
    • Ensure robust data flows between IT and OT environments to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
    • Oversee deployment and testing of hybrid IT/OT solutions to ensure reliability and functionality.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance IT/OT integration and efficiency.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the IT/OT ecosystem.
    • Cultivate a culture of innovation within the organization.
