Job Opportunity: Chief Fund Development and Communication Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our fundraising and communication efforts. As the Chief Fund Development and Communication Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to ensure long-term financial sustainability and enhance the visibility of our organization.

This role requires a strong understanding of donor management, digital marketing, and brand positioning. You will be expected to design and execute integrated fundraising campaigns, expand and diversify income sources, and strengthen donor stewardship systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, with at least 15-17 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and communications. Proven track record in leading successful fundraising campaigns and securing high-value partnerships is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership and Planning:
    • Develop and lead the implementation of the Fund Development & Communication strategy aligned with our organizational goals.
    • Maintain strategic partnerships with local, national, and international donors and stakeholders.
    • Enhance the visibility and influence of our organization through proactive engagement in media and industry.
  • Fund Development and Donor Servicing:
    • Design and execute integrated fundraising campaigns across individual partnership, corporate partnership, HNI engagement, institutional donors, legacy partners, and digital fundraising.
    • Expand and diversify income sources, focusing on unrestricted funding growth and donor retention.
    • Strengthen donor stewardship systems to ensure a positive donor experience and long-term commitment.
  • Communication and Brand Management:
    • Lead the development of the communication and brand strategy to increase visibility and support fundraising.
    • Ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external communication platforms.
    • Manage PR and Media Relations.
  • People and Team Management:
    • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing fundraising and communication teams.
    • Foster a results-driven and collaborative culture focused on innovation, integrity, and accountability.
Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, with at least 15-17 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and communications. Proven track record in leading successful fundraising campaigns and securing high-value partnerships is essential.

A strong understanding of donor management, digital marketing, and brand positioning, as well as excellent leadership and people management skills, is required. The ability to work under pressure, travel frequently, and lead diverse teams is also essential.

Compensation Offered:

Gross compensation budgeted for this position is attractive and in alignment with salaries paid by leading NGOs for similar roles. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
