Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Information Security Officer to lead our enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operations. The CISO will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining information security and risk management programs to protect critical assets, data, and infrastructure while enabling business innovation and compliance.

The CISO will define and execute the organization's cybersecurity strategy, policies, and governance frameworks aligned with business objectives. They will oversee risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.

The CISO will lead incident response, threat detection, and security operations to minimize risks and recover from cyber events effectively. They will collaborate with executive leadership to integrate security into business strategy, IT, and digital transformation initiatives.

The CISO will build and manage a strong cybersecurity team, fostering innovation, continuous learning, and proactive defense. They will ensure security considerations are embedded in cloud adoption, data governance, and emerging technologies such as AI and IoT.

The CISO will provide regular updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to the Board of Directors and senior management. They will establish and maintain strong partnerships with external vendors, regulators, and industry peers to enhance security posture.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in information security, risk management, or IT governance, with 5+ years in a CISO/CSIO leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, compliance, and risk governance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to influence executives and boards.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security, identity & access management, incident response, SOC, SIEM, and threat intelligence.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
