Job Opportunity: Master Controls Leader – Automation Systems

Location: Global Project Environment

Reports to: Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead a dynamic team of engineers in designing and implementing advanced control systems for large-scale projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven leader with technical expertise, project management skills, and collaboration experience, delivering automation solutions that ensure operational excellence worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 15+ controls engineers, ensuring skill and competency development.
  • Manage team escalations, daily resource allocation, hiring, and subcontracting activities.
  • Identify training needs and implement structured training programs.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Project Management, Service, and R&D teams as a consultant.
  • Monitor project risks and opportunities, driving improvements across teams.
  • Ensure system performance validation through thorough testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to department KPIs.
  • Provide technical oversight during commissioning and ensure smooth customer handovers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership with proven experience managing 15+ engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in global project environments.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities with a focus on delivery within time and budget.
  • Proactive, innovative, and improvement-driven mindset.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or related field).
  • 10–12 years of experience in control systems design and implementation.
