Customer Data Platform Strategist

A seasoned Customer Data Platform strategist is needed to drive the vision, development, and lifecycle of a unified customer data platform. The goal is to unify customer data from various sources into single customer views for personalized marketing and insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap for the CDP, aligning with business needs and market trends.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and proper governance of customer data within the platform.
  • Oversee the integration of data from various internal and external sources into the CDP.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure data is used effectively.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development process from conception to launch, often using agile methodologies.
  • Ensure the unified customer data is activated and made accessible to other systems, such as marketing automation, for real-time personalization.
  • Regularly review product metrics and model performance to ensure the CDP delivers tangible business value.
  • Gather use cases and needs from various business departments to inform CDP development and optimize its utility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong background in product management, particularly with technical products like data platforms or internal tools.
  • Familiarity with data concepts, APIs, SQL, schemas, and data engineering.
  • Ability to understand business objectives and connect them to CDP functionality, particularly for personalized marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and engineering.
  • Capacity to turn vague ideas into concrete product specifications and develop long-term strategies.
