Job Description

This role will involve credit appraisal and underwriting for unsecured business loans. You will need to analyze applicants' financial status and credit evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting loans, as well as prepare Credit Approval Memos (CAMs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Credit Appraisal Underwriting: Analyze applicant's financial status and credit evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
  • Preparation of Credit Approval Memo (CAM): Prepare CAMs based on the analysis of applicant's financial status and credit evaluations.
  • Meeting with Applicants: Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and analyze their financial situation through business place visits.
  • Pre and Post Sanction Credit Risk Compliance: Ensure compliance with credit risk policies and procedures before and after sanctioning loans.
  • Handling Complete Credit & Backend Process: Handle the complete credit and backend process at the branch level, including training resources on credit, operations, and sales documentation.
  • Active Engagement with 3rd Party Vendors: Engage actively with third-party vendors to track completion of necessary verifications checks related to loan applications within required turnaround time.
  • Ensuring Maintenance of TAT: Ensure maintenance of turnaround times for UBL proposals at an acceptable level.
  • Managing Overall Credit and Risk Functions: Manage overall credit and risk functions for assigned areas/locations.
  • To Facilitate Business Team Achieve Monthly/Annual Targets: Facilitate the business team to achieve monthly/annual targets.
  • Ensure Adherence to Credit Policy and Defined Processes: Ensure adherence to credit policy and defined processes.
  • Inputs for Designing and Implementation of Credit Policy and Programmes: Provide inputs for designing and implementing credit policy and programmes, new initiatives, periodical changes in credit policy and programmes based on inputs from sales teams and market feedback.
  • Maintain Portfolio Quality and Responsible for Collections, Delinquency: Maintain portfolio quality and be responsible for collections, delinquency.
  • Controlling Delinquencies Through Portfolio Review: Control delinquencies through portfolio review, especially monitoring non-starters.
  • Coordination with Operations Team for Disbursal, OTC and PDD Process: Coordinate with operations team for disbursal, OTC and PDD process.
  • Hiring of Credit Resources: Hire credit resources as per manpower budgeting, attrition management, and performance management.
  • Audit Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure audit compliance and regulatory compliance for assigned locations/areas.
  • Reference Checks for Prospective Borrowers: Take reference checks for prospective borrowers from market links and existing lenders.
  • Coordinating Training Programs for Credit/Sales Team: Coordinate training programs for credit/sales team.
  • MIS Management for Vertical: Manage MIS for vertical.
