Bookkeeper Role

This is a key position for someone with expertise in bookkeeping, accounting, and taxation. We require an individual who is meticulous, organized, and able to work independently.

Job Summary

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. They will also prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including processing invoices, receipts, and expense tracking.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.
  • Process payroll and superannuation contributions as required.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Work closely with accountants to prepare financial reports and ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably with Australian clients or companies.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB software.
  • Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.
  • Fluent English language skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
