Instrumentation Engineer Role

About this role: As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining field instrumentation equipment strategies. This involves overseeing the assignment of equipment maintenance strategies, collaborating with team members, and ensuring project success.

  • Perform engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology, including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzer, and control systems.
  • Review and update equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g. Transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers)
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.
  • Understand asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management.
  • Understand Preventive, Predictive, and Condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets.
  • Standardize instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards.
  • Skilled Instrument Maintenance Technicians with an understanding of the preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation, including control valves, on-off valves, and various field instruments.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in instrumentation engineering
  • University degree in instrumentation & control or related field
