Finance Account Specialist

This is a specialist role within the finance department responsible for handling day-to-day financial operations including General Ledger, Reconciliations, Taxation, and support for audits under the supervision of a Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, ledger postings, reconciliations (bank, vendor, intercompany), and fixed assets accounting.
  • Supporting monthly and annual closing processes by preparing schedules, reports, and accurate financial data.
  • Assisting in statutory and internal audits by providing required documentation and resolving audit queries.
  • Ensuring timely compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax requirements.
  • Preparing MIS reports and assisting in variance analysis as directed by the Manager.
  • Maintaining documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls and company policies.
  • Coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders for smooth financial operations.
  • Actively supporting process improvement initiatives and team goals under the guidance of the Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong foundational knowledge in accounting principles and journal entries.
  • A good working knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, and GST.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • An ability to work independently on routine tasks and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
  • An ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Ethical conduct and data confidentiality.
