IT Operations Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Production Support Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing production systems, coordinating data center and disaster recovery failover activities, and ensuring the availability and reliability of critical systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee production systems during night shifts, ensuring smooth operations and prompt incident response.
  • Execute end-of-day and beginning-of-day job processes, guaranteeing timely and accurate completion.
  • Coordinate data center and disaster recovery failover activities, ensuring system availability and reliability.
  • Patching activities to ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest security and functionality updates.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, support teams, and business stakeholders to efficiently address and resolve production issues.
Required Expertise:
  • Experience with end-of-day/beginning-of-day processes in production environments, data center/disaster recovery switchovers, Linux, Control-M, Dynatrace.
  • 6+ years of experience handling financial critical system operations for exchange, clearing corporation, or banking industry.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux systems management.
  • Fundamental understanding of database systems (DB2).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

This role requires dedication to duties and responsibilities and ability to work independently making critical decisions during night shifts.
