Job Description

As a key member of our Energy team, you will be responsible for driving business development initiatives in the energy transition space. You will work closely with our MEA Growth and Development team to identify opportunities and develop strategies to grow our presence in the market.

This position is based in our Chennai office and reports directly to the Director of Energy Business India. Your main accountabilities and responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting products and solutions to create a strong market presence in India and build long-term relationships with existing and new customers throughout the life cycle.
  • Promoting Energy Business strategic objectives and value-based selling propositions to support customer decisions.
  • Driving growth in India by originating new business opportunities and building a pipeline for Energy new build projects and life cycle services agreements.
  • Accurately forecasting and delivering sales with profitability and risk profiles according to directives.

You will also be responsible for owning customer relationships and opportunity business cases, adopting a value-based and analytical sales approach, developing tailored business cases and value propositions, and maintaining sales opportunities data in CRM.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the energy power sector, including IPP, utility, Oil, Gas, Refineries, Infrastructure, Fertilizers, Cement, Industry, Mining, energy policy, and economic drivers of the country's assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical domain.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant managerial experience working in the power industry in a business development role.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and public speaking skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Experience in market development, sales opportunity identification, and comprehensive understanding of the energy power sector.
