Systems Analyst - Retail Technology Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Analyst with expertise in Retail Technology to fill this key role.

The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing business requirements, designing technical solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of Point of Sale (POS) applications with omni-channel systems.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the POS application.
  • Benchmark strategic initiatives and special projects through cost/benefit analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and cleanliness for guest and employee profiles, transactions, etc.
  • Optimize monitoring and alerting capabilities across multiple integrations.
  • Automate report generation in Power BI, Splunk, etc., to get meaningful KPIs.
  • Understand the architecture of applications and technology stacks to recommend strategies for meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, QA testers, and IT support staff.
  • Analyze real/actual data for business reporting, project decision-making, and production issues troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A master's degree is advantageous.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development, with focus on POS applications.
  • Proficiency in Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with modern development frameworks and languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of POS hardware and software integration. XStore POS-related experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly valued.
