The Software Engineer will work as part of a global team to develop industry-leading technology solutions that drive business goals.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all areas of development and operations
  • Help others refine their skills and be an example of good engineering practice
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and perform engineering assignments using existing procedures and best practices
  • Work closely with global teams to ensure effective technical solutions
  • Provide an escalation point and participate in on-call support rotations
  • Actively monitor key metrics and report on trends
  • Contribute to engineering automation, management or development of production level systems
  • Perform reliability monitoring and support as needed to ensure products meet expectations

Requirements:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible
  • Eight to 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the technology space
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with programming languages such as Java and Python
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with application development frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with cloud technologies and services such as AWS Lambda and AWS S3.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with data integration technologies such as Kafka
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with API based system design
  • Experience working with relational and no-sql databases such as Postgres, MongoDB
  • Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD principles and tools like Gitlab, Splunk and Datadog
  • Good knowledge and working experience in Agile methodology and familiar with tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Familiar with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
