Lead System Architect

We are seeking an experienced system architect to lead the design and optimization of our CAD/EDA infrastructure for global design teams. The role involves re-architecting worldwide LSF setups, implementing advanced features like fair share and preemption, and building automation dashboards for resource utilization and system monitoring.

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Linux systems, FLEXLM, and EDA license management, as well as hands-on automation scripting skills. Experience with version control tools is a plus, and knowledge of IT infrastructure is highly desirable.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement advanced LSF features such as license fair share, preemption, and global EDA tool license sharing.
  • Lead the transformation of CAD-Infrastructure LSF setup to optimize resource usage across worldwide teams.
  • Architect and implement development, testing, and production environments for LSF enhancement.
  • Automate key infrastructure processes such as resource utilization reporting, demand-supply analysis, and system health monitoring.
  • Develop dashboards and proactive monitoring tools to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with global teams to deploy, maintain, and enhance LSF and RTM solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with LSF and RTM deployment, architecture, and maintenance in distributed environments.
  • Strong expertise in Linux systems, FLEXLM, and EDA license management.
  • Hands-on automation scripting skills (Perl, Python, Shell scripting).
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure (Linux, LAN/WAN).
  • Experience with version control tools (Perforce, Methodic) is a plus.
  • Understanding of EDA tools, license features, and use cases is highly desirable.
