Job Summary

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the network operations team, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and managing enterprise network equipment.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco routers, switches, and routing protocols, as well as implementing Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA Center. A strong understanding of SD-WAN and SDN is also highly desirable.

You will work closely with carriers to configure and troubleshoot Internet, MPLS, and other WAN circuits and equipment. Additionally, you will mentor junior network engineers and ensure that the network meets compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, configures, installs, and manages enterprise network equipment
  • Maintains knowledge of network vendor technologies and associated software
  • Administers Cisco network equipment including routers, switches, access points, and controllers
  • Configures, monitors, and troubleshoots enterprise network equipment
  • Resolves complex issues involving a wide range of technologies
  • Assists with installing and configuring Cisco Voice Gateways, Integrated Services Routers, and other infrastructure equipment
  • Works with carriers to configure/troubleshoot Internet, MPLS, SD-WAN, and other WAN circuits and equipment
  • Mentors junior network engineers
  • Ensures network meets compliance standards
  • Provides on-call support for production systems
  • Oversees diagnosis and troubleshooting activities; resolves technical problems
  • Performs system administration functions necessary for continuous day-to-day system operations
  • Performs configuration management using Ansible and other tools
  • Develops and maintains network documentation
  • Maintains involvement with other IT systems infrastructure by participating in Agile/Scrum process
  • Builds relationships with key contacts outside of own area of expertise
  • Delivers root cause analysis for outages and SOPs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience with Cisco routers/switches/routing protocols and other network equipment
  • Experience implementing Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA Center
  • Experience with SD-WAN and SDN preferred
  • Experience in VMware, Docker, and/or AWS environment, preferred
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Network as Code (NaC), preferred
  • Experience with Python and Ansible
Certifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional certification required
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert certification preferred
