We are actively seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented Category Manager to drive growth within our marketplace operations.
This pivotal role involves owning the financial performance of the category, identifying market trends, optimizing inventory, and executing impactful marketing campaigns.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Drive marketplace growth for the Home category with a sharp focus on consumer behavior and competitive landscape.
- Own the financial performance of the category/brand across all marketplaces, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and gross margins in alignment with broader business goals.
- Manage topline and bottom-line performance, product returns, and inventory mix.
- Identify broader trends and proactively fill category gaps through researching, analyzing data, and leveraging market insights.
- Develop processes and undertake operational planning to support accurate forecasting and successful new product launches.
- Effectively coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance/commercial, and other critical functions of the organization to ensure seamless operations and strategic alignment.
- Plan, drive, and execute various marketing activities specifically designed to boost category sales and improve overall efficiencies.
- Possess prior experience or sufficient knowledge and confidence to manage merchandising operations, inbound planning, cataloging, and discount monitoring, ensuring products are presented optimally and pricing is competitive.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in category management, e-commerce, or a similar role, particularly within the Home goods sector.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving sales and margin targets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
