Job Overview:

The Service Engineering Specialist plays a vital role in supporting technical experts in resolving service tasks, focusing on main bearing-related issues.

This specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining failed component information, updating management on potential serial defects, and ensuring smooth operation of the Service Engineering Teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global technical experts within Global Service Engineering
  • Act as a focal point for technical issues between local business units and central business units
  • Assign tasks along the technical support process
  • Collect information about mechanical components' performance
  • Identify and report potential serial issues
  • Evaluate risk potential, budget, and schedule necessary activities for major non-conformities
  • Support local business units in developing sustainable solutions for mechanical problems related to wind turbine drive trains
  • Create repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies
  • Define, implement, and obtain service processes for mechanical assemblies
  • Improve internal standards and processes, ensuring knowledge transfer between departments and locations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience in Mechanical drive trains and roller bearings (design, development, evaluation of fault conditions, error analysis)
  • Proven project coordination or similar experience
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel
  • Organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Multitasking skills, good stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of technical background, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in Teamcenter PLM, Windchill PLM, SAP, troubleshooting, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Additional languages like German, Spanish, or French
