Compliance Specialist Role

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for conducting compliance reviews and tests across various business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough compliance reviews of business activities to identify and assess risks and control gaps.
  • Develop and implement effective testing methodologies to evaluate adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Escalate potential issues and exceptions to senior management for further investigation.
  • Advise team members on applicable regulatory requirements and provide guidance on testing design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., law, finance, or business). An advanced degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a compliance, legal, or audit role within a financial services firm or self-regulatory organization.
  • Proven experience in compliance testing or audit roles, with knowledge of relevant regulations and laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of O&A products and relevant regulations.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements governing financial institutions, including FRB, OCC, FDIC, FINRA, SEC, NFA, and CFTC rules.
  • Familiarity with Swap Dealer regulatory requirements or derivative instruments is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within teams, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
