Job Title: Employee Benefit Plan Audit Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefit Plan Audit Specialist to join our team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits of employee benefit plans, including 401(k) retirement plans, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits of employee benefit plans, including 401(k) retirement plans, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Review and understand plan provisions, ensuring the plan complies with regulatory requirements (e.g., ERISA, IRS regulations) and performs testing on contributions, distributions, and plan operation.
  • Perform detailed testing of employee contributions, employer contributions, and benefit payments to verify accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with the plan document.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for employee benefit plans, ensuring proper presentation and disclosure in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field from an accredited university.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or currently progressing towards a CPA or CA certification is a plus.
  • 2 to 3 years of public accounting experience, or experience working with a U.S. CPA firms back office or provider (e.g., in India).
  • Experience specifically in auditing employee benefit plans (such as pension plans and health plans) with 1+ years of relevant experience.
Estimated Salary: ₹800,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum

This salary estimate is based on industry standards for similar roles in Bangalore, taking into account the level of experience and qualifications required for this position.
