Job Title: SCM Planning Specialist

The role of SCM Planning Specialist involves providing expertise in supply chain management to ensure efficient production planning and timely delivery of goods.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • a. Develop medium-to-long term production plans based on demand forecasts, inventory norms, transit time, and manufacturing capacities.
  • b. Create monthly rolling production schedules in alignment with monthly sales forecasts, tender visibility, in-transit stock, and API/RM/PM availability.
  • c. Coordinate with manufacturing plants, API team, and procurement teams for timely execution of production plans.
  • d. Maintain optimum inventory levels (RM, PM, FG) to avoid stock-outs and obsolescence.
  • e. Monitor and manage capacity constraints; escalate risks and propose mitigation actions.
  • f. Collaborate with demand planning and commercial teams to align supply plans with market requirements.
  • g. Ensure timely readiness of materials, artwork, and regulatory approvals for production.
  • h. Identify supply risks, delays, or constraints and proactively implement corrective actions.
  • i. Track and manage inventory shelf-life risks, batch expiry management, and re-testing needs.
  • j. Ensure timely updates and accuracy of master data in ERP/SAP systems (BOM, lead times, MOQ, batch sizes etc).
  • k. Adhere to cGMP, GDP, and other regulatory compliance norms in supply planning activities.
  • l. Generate periodic reports on supply KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory turnover etc.
  • m. Analyze supply chain performance and recommend process improvements.
