Chief Cybersecurity Strategist

A key role in our organization's cybersecurity strategy, the Chief Cybersecurity Strategist will be responsible for researching threats posed by cyber criminals to various systems, technologies, operations, and programs. The successful candidate will analyze research to determine a cyber criminal's capabilities, intentions, and attack approaches, including those with multiple phases.

Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled cybersecurity professional to lead our threat detection and response efforts.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, including technical and non-technical problem-solving skills, and maintain certifications in an information security-related field.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage SOC 24x7 operations, including technology and people management.
  2. Perform cybersecurity threat detection, assessment, and mitigation efforts.
  3. Support inquiries from compliance teams to ensure documentation is complete and in compliance with information security policies.
  4. Identify, evaluate, and monitor continually threats that could affect operational and business activities.
  5. Manage development of security operations playbooks to ensure threat detection, monitoring, response, and forensics activities align with best practices.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Computer Sciences, or equivalent prior work experience in a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years overall experience working in global, complex, matrix-managed organization.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of people management experience is preferred.
  4. Minimum of 8 years' experience in either Threat detection & response and/or vulnerability management, Incident Response and Forensic Investigations work, Cybersecurity Operations or Information Security.
  5. Experience across the following technical concentrations: Network-Based Security Controls, Anomaly Detection and Investigation, Host and Network Forensics, Operating Systems, Web Applications and Traffic.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Knowledge of Splunk, Phantom, Python, CrowdStrike, Tanium, Defender, Azure, AWS, and forensic security tools.
  2. Experience working within the Financial Services Industry.
  3. One to three years of experience in Splunk, Splunk Enterprise Security, or Splunk Phantom.
