Job Opportunity at the International Potato Center

The International Potato Center is seeking a highly skilled consultant to support the development of ARC-based potato seed production in West Bengal. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating with local partners to enhance the seed value chain, including varietal selection, identifying suitable areas for open field seed multiplication, and establishing low-cost seed production systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the project team to assist local partners in seed value chain development, ensuring effective execution of project priorities and delivery goals.
  2. Oversee quality control of work plans to guarantee that technology dissemination and reporting are aligned with project objectives.
  3. Develop and maintain flexible processes for timely planning and delivery of development activities, including technology dissemination and reporting.
  4. Ensure project implementation is responsive to community and partner needs while adhering to CIP's principles and values.
  5. Monitor adherence to consultancy contracts, CIP policies, and relevant external rules and regulations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to proactive learning, be ready to take on diverse responsibilities, and demonstrate a willingness to travel frequently across West Bengal to ensure effective on-ground coordination and execution.

This is a temporary contractual assignment with the possibility of extension based on performance and available budget.
